Reading – Level I: అచ్చులు / హల్లులు

  • Test Content:
    • Level 1 students will be tested on reading two-letter, three-letter, and four-letter Telugu words in Round 1.
    • From Round 2 onwards, the number of letters (4–8) and complexity of the words will increase.
  • Round Procedure:
    • Each contestant will be given a list of words to read.
    • Contestants are expected to read as many words as possible within the given time.
    • The time limit (1–2 minutes) will be determined by the judges based on the number of participants.
  • Tie-Breaking Rules:
    • If there is a tie after Round 1, judges may:
      • Increase word length, and/or
      • Include words containing sunna (e.g., బండ, అంతం), or
      • Use another fair method to break the tie.

Reading – Level II: గుణింతాలు

  • Test Content:
    • Level 2 students will be tested on reading three-letter words and above with increasing complexity.
    • Words will include గుణింతాలు (gunintaalu).
  • Round Procedure:
    • Each contestant will be given a list of words to read.
    • Contestants are expected to read as many words as possible within the allotted time.
    • The time limit (1–2 minutes) will be decided by the judges based on the number of participants.
  • Tie-Breaking Rules:
    • If there is a tie after Round 1, the number of words correctly read per minute (or second) will be used to determine the winner.
    • Judges may increase word length or complexity in subsequent rounds as needed.

Reading – Level III: ఒత్తులు

  • Test Content:
    • Level 3 students will be tested on their ability to read complex words and sentences accurately.
    • Accuracy is very important at this level.
    • Sentences may include గుణింతాలు (gunintaalu) and ఒత్తులు (ottulu).
  • Round Procedure:
    • Contestants will be given a list of words or sentences to read.
    • Each contestant must read as many as possible within the time limit.
    • Judges will set the time limit (1–2 minutes) based on the number of participants.
  • Tie-Breaking Rules:
    • If there is a tie after Round 1, the number of words correctly read per minute will determine the winner.
    • Judges may adjust word/sentence length and complexity as necessary.
